Education: St. AndrewÆs School, Dublin, Graduated Trinity College, Dublin 
Other information:  Posted to India 1913 by RAMC, Returned to UK in 1919 to 
marry Elsie Mary Tulloch. Recalled to RAMC 1939 + went to France with BEF as 
Colonel ADMS. Returned 1940 as Commandant of Colchester Military Hospital. 
Posted West Africa 1941 as Commandant, Military Hospital Lagos, Invalided 
home 1943 Rejoined Essex CC, 1944 and was for some time Deputy County 
Medical Health Officer Retired 1950. Keen bridge player, gardener, trout 
fisherman and golfer.

Evans consulted Dr. Worts of Colchester then amputated the hand
